There is a commitment to a "comprehensive new Animal Welfare Bill" which we would push to include decapods. Also a pledge to ban bottom trawling in Marine Protected Areas.
Animal Welfare
The Liberal Democrats have published a manifesto which contains a number of animal protection pledges.
The over-arching pledge is to "ensure Britain continues to be a world leader in animal welfare and standards".
