Decapod crustacean protection

The Conservative manifesto commits to replicating the UK Seafood Fund with a further £100 million of spending. The fund is designed to invest in upgrading fishing infrastructure and technology on boats. This could lead to improvements to animal welfare including on-board stunning equipment.

Animal Welfare

The Conservatives have limited mentions of animal protection in their manifesto - although they do pledge to keep the Hunting Act 2004.
